[image error]I'm editing a short story collection right now set in a high fantasy world, a la Game of Thrones, or Middle Earth, with some Atlantis myth on the side. Very "historical fantasy" with a twist. Mages and swords and princes, oh my!
Seeing this lovely illustration of a French warhorse brings to mind the pageantry of such a way of life. And this, my friends, was real. Loving it.
Stay tuned from Tales of Haydon, by Tim Tim, soon. VERY soon. Maybe even this weekend. It's so close, I just need the time to click some buttons.
oldbookillustrations:
Poland, 17th century: full harnessing of a war horse.
From Le costume historique (The costume history) vol. 6, by Auguste Racinet, Paris, 1888.
(Source: archive.org. The French edition seems to be more complete than the German one.)
