There are shades of naked.  I’d been laid bare in her light, more naked than I ever knew possible. As she’d run her hands over me, the light at the heart of me had gotten brighter, and though I hadn’t stopped to turn on the lamp when I placed her on my bed, I’d never seen so well, or as clearly, as I did with her hands on me.

When she put her mouth on my skin, and her words in my ears she’d shown me that I had never known myself at all. She made me an undiscovered country, dappled in shadows that contained the greatest truths of myself, and I learned that the things I had always wished were true, actually were true.
