Another older painting I recently completed. “The Magician and the Vampire” was a work-in-progress for several months, but I came back to it, working on small changes to almost the entire piece, and detail by detail, it came to life. I wasn’t entirely thrilled with it, and I wasn’t able to see what I didn’t like without putting it away, forgetting about it for four months, and start in on everything I saw with a fresh look.
