Serial Killer by Terry Ravenscroft

From the age of seven Cuthbert Cuthbert knew what he wanted to be when he grew up. A film director. So why is it that at the age of 22, with a 2.1 degree in film-making, he is in charge of a group of old age pensioners on their way to see the Blackpool Illuminations? Who are quickly driving him up the wall. However, unbeknownst to the beleaguered Cuthbert, a brighter future awaits: one of the pensioners in his charge is Grace, a lady who once had hopes of becoming a star of the silver screen: another is Stan, who yearns for more excitement than life at Donny Donaldson Retirement Homes is giving him. And not forgetting, of course, the late Arthur Springett, a man whose serial killer screenplay, already containing fifteen deaths in its two hour running time, ends up having a few more.
