Month in Review {Pics + Links}

Don’t compare her to sunshine and roses when she’s clearly orchids and moonlight.—Melody Lee

March in Review

Last month included a snowstorm mixed with a few 70-degree days. Nature’s flux has been similar to my moods. Numerous ups and downs blended with many beautiful, mundane moments in between.

As you’ll see in the above image, there was lots of flora! From having a raised bed garden planted in the backyard, to seeing the Orchid Extravaganza at Longwood Gardens, to attending Rooting DC where we learned about seeds and soil, to picking up microgreens at the farmers’ market, to receiving a bouquet of mini pink roses from a thoughtful friend.

The month began with the film screening of The Last Pig on National Pig Day (see upper right image of me with Charlotte the pretty pink pig), the spring TranquiliT shoot the next day, and then the release  of Module 3 {Style + Beauty} for Year of Tranquility. There was a poetry writing class, a brush hand lettering class, a matinee viewing of Phantom Thread with a girlfriend, getting rear ended on a country road, finding the perfect farmette only to discover it was in a designated flood plain, the finding of a mammary tumor and biopsy for Belle Starr, spending two days at the Psychotherapy Networker conference, plus hosting a 7-day detox including a one-hour kickoff,  TranquiliT show + tell, a one-hour TDJ Live, and a three-hour Urban Retreat at Tranquil Space/YogaWorks.

There was weekly collaboration with therapy clients, another photo shoot to showcase TranquiliT in various settings (see lower left image of me with dogs in my “uniform” of 2in1 fitted, capri leggings + duster above), ballet classes, morning baths and Morning Pages, and the completion of my six-month Applied Positive Psychology Certificate Program (I’m giving my final presentation in the lower right image above—woo hoo!).

Needless to say, it was a full and fluctuating month. As I turn my sights toward April, I’m excited about a fresh start. I’ve penned my April dreams onto an image of a woman on a bike with a basket full of veggies and secured it with gold chevron washi tape into my planner. I’m ready for what this month holds as I remember that fluctuations, change, challenge, and growth = the natural flow of this journey called life. Bisous. x
