Okay so I had small day today and only wrote 184 words but I didn’t plan to write at all today, so go me for that. Also I got some good character charting filled out, too.

The trees beneath them had changed. Instead of thick bursts of yellow that couldn’t be seen through, the leaves were patchy, as though sections had been shaken loose. The remaining leaves seemed dimmer, their yellow more a dingy tan. Beneath the trees was difficult to make out at their steady clip, but the glimpses she caught seemed to be barren dirt rather than lush fields of moss.  

“That’s why we fly over,” the creature said over her shoulder, seeing Ari and Kelsey peering downward.  

“What’s wrong with it?” Ari called over the breeze and the beating of giant moth wings.

“That’s Tinn’s forest now. Only a fool would travel through it on foot.”

That’s a long quote for a short amount of writing but lol oh well, I like it. World is starting to flesh out, I love that feeling.

Do you guys set goals for your word count in the day/week or do you just try to write when ever you can? Or do you say your going to write and then just tumble everyday instead? (me too sometimes)
