Agni (sharmishtha basu) Talks about Movie and Music 2.4.18 Scream Saga
Even though I quite despise blood, gore and violence but I have watched few gory movies repeatedly, Scream saga is one of them. The thing I have liked about these movies is the way Sydney develops from a normal soft teenager to the strong woman in fourth saga.
Her character is quite a role-model for independent women! She is not trained in combats, she cries when it hurts, laughs when it feels good, loves, gets hurts, makes mistakes… she is just like us! But her calm brain saves her from the psychos ( a little too surreal) again and again, there is nothing surreal about her character! She is a very normal human being! Someone who is sometimes just lucky and other times she keeps her senses together and saves herself.
She is one of the best female lead characters I have come across I will say, Neve Campbell is awesome.
If you hate violence like me, watch them like I do, I simply skip the violent parts, honestly they are just there to drag gore-lovers to the theaters, you will be happy if you just pick up your mouse and keep clicking till that scene is over.
I will say even if you jump those scenes the movies are worth watching because of Sydney and her friends, the characters of these movies are created with quite care, a dash of humanity and a lot of insanity!
