Adventures of Superman: Defeat in the Multi-universe Part 5 Arkham Nightmare Chapter 6

Chapter 6

A metal grate from the venting system soundlessly fell to the ground as a dark shadow quickly followed it. It had been simple for Batman to infiltrate Arkham Asylum as he had to visit on occasion with none the wiser. This time it was not as simple as interrogating a patient or verifying that one of his many arch enemies was safely confined to their cell. This was a rescue mission.

There was no doubt in his mind that Superman was being held prisoner somewhere. The pieces of the puzzle were completely obvious. What Batman did not know was that if Superman was just the bait and if this was some kind of trap for him. Either way, he intended to be cautious until he could rescue his friend.

The guard at the front reception was struggling to stay awake as the Dark Knight crept towards him. Taking note of the security cameras, the hero pulled out a small black box from his utility belt. With a press of a button, every camera temporarily short-circuited. Before the guard even noticed that something was wrong with the cameras, Batman leaped into action and gently put the guard to sleep.

It was simple for him to access the computer as Batman quickly scanned the files. The name of Superman or Clark Kent didn’t pop up as a registered patient. There were several John Does in the rosters so he easily broke through the encryption and scanned through all of the files. His search came up with no clue to where Superman was being held. Since he was not in the system, it meant that the authorities did not know he was here. The stench of foul play grew even stronger for the frowning hero.

Batman faded back into the shadows as he left the reception area. It would not be a simple task to find Superman. The Asylum was very old and there were wings that had not been used for decades. He quickly eliminated the wards where most of the patients were being kept. His friend must be being kept somewhere else.

Finding a safe place, Batman contacted Oracle. “Can you scan the island for any kind of kryptonite radiation. If Superman was being held against his will where he would have to be weakened enough to be kept a prisoner.

A few seconds later, Oracle came back with nothing. Batman then had her scan for any clues of electrical usage in the abandoned wings. As he waited for the results of her search, his bat radio suddenly came to life as it vibrated in his belt.

“What’s going on?” He asked tensely.

“You’re not going to like this Bruce,” Oracle said tightly. “The city just exploded in a crime wave. The police phones are going nuts as crimes are being reported at an insane rate. It’s like the entire criminal underground struck all at once.”

“It’s a diversion,” Batman growled. What kind of danger is Superman in for the massive resources used to make this kind of criminal strike? “I’m going to stay and look for Superman. Contact Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl and let them handle the crime wave.”

“I’m on it,” Oracle reported. “This is a hell of a diversion to draw you away from the Asylum. Let me know if you need anything else.”

The Dark Knight sense of urgency was even greater than before. Whoever kidnapped Superman must be someone with immense resources. He needed to find The Man of Steel before it was too late. Keeping close to the shadows, Batman rushed through the secret passages of the Asylum.

As he entered one of the abandoned wings, the hero saw a small light in the distance. Superman must be in there, he thought tersely. Moving as fast as he could while still being silent, the Dark Knight made his way to the growing light.

Batman stopped in shock at what he saw. He barely recognized Superman who lay in his cell. His normally pristine costume was covered in cum stains and there was no mistaking the huge tent in his red briefs. As he quietly approached the cell, the Dark Knight could see no sign of kryptonite or even a red sun lamp. Superman’s captor must have done something to mess with his mind to keep the powerful hero in his cell.

Reaching into his utility belt, the hero was prepared to pick the lock on the cell and rescue his friend. He stopped in shock as the lights in the wing all turned on at once leaving him completely exposed.

“SURPRISE!” A great shout echoed and bounced off the deserted walls.

Batman turned around and blinked in shock. The room was filled with his greatest and most powerful enemies. Penguin, Riddler, Killer Croc, and all the others grinned as they looked ready to spring on the unprepared hero. In fact, the only one missing from this gathering was The Joker.

It would have been suicide to try and fight everyone at the same time. So instead, Batman was prepared to flee and plan his attack to pick off the villains one by one. He grabbed a smoke pellet and was ready to create a shield for him to flee.

Killer Croc growled in rage as he leaped at the hero and tackled him to the ground. Batman cursed softly as his smoke pellet rolled out of his hand and out of his reach. Gathering his strength, The Dark Knight kicked the reptilian villain away and went to leap after his runaway pellet.

Bane was ready as he grabbed Batman’s cape and threw him across the room. Batman barely had time to recover as he stared at both Killer Croc and Bane in shock. They hated each other with a passion so why were they working together. In all his years of crime fighting, he had never seen the cooperation of this scale among his foes.

Leaping in the air, Batman kicked both Bane and Croc in the head before landing on the ground. He grabbed a couple of batarangs from his utility belt and threw them at the back of their heads hoping to stun them before they had the chance to react. They never had a chance to hit their mark as the hero fell to his knees in pain.

Penguin quacked with glee as smoke rose from the tip of his umbrella. Before Batman could recover, Bane and Croc grabbed each of his arms and pinned him to the ground. Normally their super strength was hard to counter when fighting just one of them, but their combined might make it all but impossible for him to escape their grip.

The Riddler laughed as he danced over to the struggling captive hero and pulled his utility belt off his waist. With all of his gadgets taken away from him, Batman’s chances of escape grew smaller. The giggling madman placed the belt around his waist as he strutted back to his place.

The chaos had caused Superman to see what was going on. Standing helplessly at the door of his cell, he pressed against it in a feeble attempt to break free. Batman grunted in pain as he called out to his friend and ally. “Help me, Superman!” Those were words that he never thought that he would ever say.

His failure to activate his powers caused the Man of Steel to quake as a fresh load of cum flooded his tights. Superman fell to his knees as his powerful orgasm caused him to weaken even further.

“The man who claims to be Superman cannot help you, Batman,” Professor Strange said with an evil smile.

Batman glared at the bald psychiatrist as he continued to struggle to break free of Bane’s and Croc’s hold. “What have you done to him Strange?” He demanded.

“I have done nothing, but try to help him.” Professor Strange said gravely. “And now it is time to help you.”

Scarecrow stepped forward and showed his hands to the helpless hero. His fingers were mounted by loaded syringes filled with his fear toxin. Batman flinched as the fear obsessed villain ran the needles across his face.

“Your therapy session starts right now.” He proclaimed as he stabbed the helpless hero in the chest and injected the toxin.

Batman screamed as he felt his entire world melting away. He had faced Scarecrow’s toxin before and could fight it in a fashion. He always carried the antidote in his utility belt but it now hung around Riddler’s waist.

“Poor little, bat!” Mad Hatter mocked as Batman struggled against the effects of the toxin. “You used to be sly as a cat. Maybe a trip to Wonderland is just what you need.”

The Dark Knight screamed as he felt his mind starting to slip away. His normally iron will start to soften as the combined effects of the fear gas and Mad Hatter’s mind control assaulted his mind.

“You are tired of fighting to be in control,” Professor Strange said as he approached the helpless hero. “Let yourself go, Batman. Give up your control.”

Knowing that he was losing this mental battle, Batman called out to Superman. “PLEASE HELP ME!”

Superman looked like he was going to burst into tears as he helplessly watched from his cell. His shoulders were slumped in defeat as he shook his head. He could not help Batman just like he could not help himself. If he were Superman then he was just a pathetic shadow of the once powerful hero. Professor Strange was right and had been all along. He was just a sad excuse of a Superman, not worthy of the title.

Batman’s last resistance started to fade as he succumbed to the combined might of Scarecrow, Mad Hatter, and Professor Strange. His blue eyes started to glaze over as his very willpower was shut away deep in his mind.

“You may release him now,” Strange ordered.

The Dark Knight collapsed on the floor as Bane and Croc let him go and lumbered back to the rest of the mocking villains. There was no strength left in him. He thought he could hear Oracle shouting in the distance, but it seemed like it was from another world.

“Stand on your feet, Batman.”

There was no question in his mind as he weakly climbed to his feet and stood at attention. Strange had a look of ecstasy on his face as he stared at the helpless hero. Batman was now completely under his control.

“You are not Batman,” He said firmly. “You dreamed of being like Batman and fabricated his entire existence. Take off your costume, but leave your cowl on. It is time to give up your claim as a hero.”

He knew that he should fight this, but the gentle professor made so much sense. Piece by piece, the Dark Knight took off his armor and costume as the villains watched the destruction of their most hated enemy. When he was finished, the only link to him being Batman was the cowl that still covered his head. His body was almost completely naked except for a black jock. His hairy muscled chest heaved as the villains openly admired his perfected body.

“Take off the jock too,” Professor Strange ordered. “You must be completely purged of your illusions of grandier.”

His heart raced as a defeated sigh crossed his lips. There was no fighting this anymore. It felt so great for him to let go and finally give up the control he kept for so long. As jock slowly slid down his legs and revealed his cock and balls to Gotham’s greatest villains. This intimate exposure had an effect on him as he felt himself harden with excitement. It didn’t take long for his cock to be rock hard and saluting his enemies signifying his defeat.

“So it has finally come to this, has it?” A very familiar voice rang out across the room.

The villains parted as Joker stepped forward. The Clown Prince smirked at his helpless foe as he slowly walked towards him.

“You know, I never cared about who you were, Bats!” Joker cooed. “The game was always more important than those petty details. Now I’m bored with you and it’s time for the game to come to an end. And if anyone is going to unmask, Batman, it is going to be me.”

Batman should have been trembling with fear, but his mind was completely destroyed. He just stood there at attention just like his pulsing cock. Even when Joker flicked the mushroom head and his precum flew across the room, the hero was unable to think or move without his orders.

Joker positioned himself directly behind his foe and pushed him down to his knees. The villain grabbed the cowl by the pointy ears as he slowly pulled it off of Batman’s face. “Ladies and Gentlemen!” He proclaimed. “The End of Batman!”
