Too many books?

I have a problem. You may have a similar problem.

Book addiction.

Yes, this helped inspire Elliott in The Little Library. And although many of my purchases are ebooks, I also have a hard time resisting the pull of print books. Which is why my shelves look like this.

And like this.

And like this.

Those are only the downstairs shelves. There are more upstairs. And in my office at work. Between these and the books on my Kindle, I probably have enough reading to last the rest of my life. Yet I keep buying more….

Barb ~rede-2-read~ Personally, I think there's never "too many" books. :-)

When I got divorced six years ago, I had to sort through my book collection and keep only a minimal number because I was moving out to a small apartment. Heartbreaking! Even worse than leaving my home and my ex (well, that part wasn't hard), the most painful part was losing my Agatha Christie collection, my Julie Garwoods, etc.

E-books have been a huge part of my life ever since. I'm never without a new book to read and I'm rarely seen without my wireless headset on which I listen to audiobooks. Of course, your books are on both devices.

My email tagline says it best: A life without books is like an unsharpened pencil: there's no point!

Giving up my books would break my heart. Someday we're going to retire and downsize, and then I have some hard decisions to face.
