I drew this over lunch today. This is Jeannette of Gail Simone's late, lamented Secret Six. I've been looking at a lot of Betty and Veronica lately and it's seeping into my drawing. I'm thinking of putting Kirby crackle around her when I get home tonight. That way, I'll be mixing up De Carlo and Kirby and the Universe will explode from the awesomeness.

Pitt pen over pencil on crappy sketchbook paper.

That's completely adorable, thank you for doing this. A DeCarlo Jeannette is a dream.

I was one of the very last writers to work with the great Dan DeCarlo. It was absolutely a complete joy, the guy is just a hero of mine. His art is every bit as important to comics as some of the all-time great superhero names.  I have a couple books of his work, including the book of pin-up cartoons that was written by the equally wonderful Bill Morrison.

I had just started writing comics and the were giving my scripts to Dan DeCarlo. That was a very mind-blowing experience.
