Writing Prompt

“And how do you know Character A?” one of xer friends asked. The group of friends was sitting around a table in a dimly lit bar. Character A was casually sipping on coffee, glancing at their old enemy, now newly reformed, who sat at the head of the table.

“Oh, that’s easy,” ex-villain said nonchalantly. “We were lovers.”

Character A promptly spewed xer coffee everywhere.
