The Life of an Author

When I decided to try my hand at writing, I never realized all the work that goes behind the scenes. Especially for newbies that are trying to save a little money and do a lot by themselves.

Creating marketing and swag, scheduling on the various social media platforms, and keeping a blog updated are just some of the things that weigh you down and keep you from writing. Add that all to family and work obligations, and you now have an exhausted author.

Kudos to all the authors out there making it work. Thank goodness for the PA's and graphic designers, the editors and cover designers. An author's life isn't easy.

This is a hard gig but I'm loving every single minute of it.
