Silent Illness is a memoir of a Daughters’ love, courage and strength for her manic depressive, alcoholic and suicidal Mother. For twenty-nine years, Juliet witnessed, and dealt with, a manic depressive Mother. She has watched her go from a loving Mother, to an alcoholic monster, a pill popping addict, and a suicidal manic depressive with paranoia.
After multiple attempts, her Mother eventually commits suicide. Juliet is now left on her own, to deal with the aftermath, as well as her own emotions and guilt. Silent Illness is the true story of a Daughters love for her Mother, regardless of the circumstances. And, living and dealing with, the secrecy surrounding severe Depression.
