THE FUTURE IS NOW!
The future is NOW - Before I finalised the cover of the first book in the Octagon series, I had two other concepts done a few years back. Whilst I did like them they just didn't capture the imagination of a gritty, brutal and sometimes sadistic future.
Drones play a huge part in the series because I believed (and still do) that we haven't seen the full intrusion into out daily lives that they will play. I went for a run the other day along the river and was being followed by one in the distance. I crossed a bridge, and it followed. I turned and back tracked and so did it. I tried looking for the person operating it but amongst the mass of families on picnic rugs and people sitting on park benches I couldn't tell. But I knew I was being watched (don't know why, I'm not that interesting really) So the next time you are out and about, watch the skies, and watch other people.
