Synopsis
Humanity rules over almost everything around it, the only limit to their knowledge and power being that whatever lies beyond the universe is also beyond their grasp. However, that can change soon. Whispers from beyond, beings that want to help humanity reach ever-higher peaks, they are beckoning us forwards…
Here’s a sample
Homo Novus had ruled the galaxy, and several other galaxies, for the last four-thousand years. What sapient life we found had been subjugated, integrated, or exterminated with guns that could turn matter to antimatter, or bombs that make the nuclear weapons of old seem like toys. Terra itself had been declared dead, reborn, terraformed, then killed again at least six times over, and there was not a single planet in around us for ten million light-years that had not been touched by our hand.
