TORN eBook - the process is underway!

Hi there!
How has everyone been? Well, I hope. I have been extremely busy lately between working on multiple ideas for stories, in between volunteering at my local senior center nursing home. It’s sort of my other part-time job as I am there a minimum of 20 hours a week . . . and I love it! In the meantime, I've been giving some careful consideration to something that I was greatly opposed to before—entering the realm of the eBook world. I always swore I would never do it, but it seems that I can no longer ignore that digital books seem to be the way of the future. For me this was a concept challenging to grasp. See to me personally, nothing beats the feeling of holding a printed book in my hands, the smell of the pages. But I now realize that not everyone feels the same way. That is why I plan to release my novel TORN in eBook format very shortly. The wonderful thing about this is that it will be an improved version. It’s sometimes hard to believe and disheartening to say, but even the top professional editors make mistakes on occasions and I’m afraid that there were a few errors that were missed that made its way into the original print version of TORN. To be honest, my heart sank when I found them. An author always wants to put their best foot forward and I believe the reading public deserves a quality product. That's why it delights me to say that in the eBook format of TORN, the few errors that were present are now corrected, allowing for a much smoother reading experience. I also had the fun of designing a new cover! I really like it and hope you will too. And since it is being offered as an eBook, the price will be considerably reduced, hopefully allowing those who want to read TORN the opportunity to do so. So if you’ve been on the fence for awhile debating whether to pick up your copy of TORN, I hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to read the improved version which I am very happy to release. Also if you’re not sure if the story will appeal to you, I highly suggest you read my succinct breakdown of the novel in my author review on Goodreads. It may give you some insight on whether this book will appeal to you. As always, I welcome questions from everyone who may have questions regarding my work. Please don’t hesitate to private message me! I will keep you posted with updates as the new format gets underway. I’m truly excited and hope you will be too! Take care!
Sincerely,
Amber :)

Missy Amber: I felt the same way...swore I would never read an e book or own a Kindle. My husband bought me a Kindle for my birthday and I am hooked!! So...the news that TORN will be released as an ebook makes me ECSTATIC! The book has been on my wish list for a long time. I look forward to reading it electronically. :) Great news!

Amber Lehman Thank you Missy and Joel for your support and encouragement! It is a great feeling to know that I am not alone on my journey into the eBook world! I have procrastintated about this inevitable change for so long but I am beginning to see that it only benefits the readers who I have always wanted to reach. Now hopefully, I will able to share the story of TORN with many more people, which was always my desire. :)

Joel,

Since I am still new to this and researching eBook formats as we speak, can you please recommend at which venues I should offer my book? I had no idea there were so many places to list a title! I've heard of Amazon and Barnes and Noble, but what other places would you suggest I target? A dozen retailers is far more than I was aware of! Thank you so much for your help!

Carol Velasquez I just joined goodreads and was looking for some quality GLBT fiction and stumbled upon your book, so to speak. After skimming the mostly positive reviews, I was ready to read it. I looked for it on my Kindle and couldn't find it. I'm so glad that you're going to be releasing this book in digital form. I too love the feeling reading an actual book, so I alternate between my Kindle and reading "real" books. There are good things about both. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to reading "Torn".

Amber Lehman Hi Carol,

Thank you so much for your interest in TORN. It is currently undergoing revision with my new editor and is being reformatted for the Kindle and other eBook devices.  It will also have a new cover, which I am really excited about. I will be sure to let you know when the improved version will be available. In the meantime, happy reading! :)
