Let's celebrate the season in real style and talk about some delicious Vampires

Between all the insanity, and the piles of homework I have to do, I've finally found a moment to do something I truly love! 

I had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with fellow author Katie Salidas at her hauntingly lovely site Written in Blood, and let her know what inspired me to write about vampires.  

No, vamps weren't my first love–My Lord Raven held my heart for decades. 

I have to admit, though, there was that one fateful moment where I looked at a vamp and went…WOW!  They do have something here that draws on the senses, pulls at the heart, and can really drag a reader into the realms of the unexplained.  Was it Alex O'Loughlin from Moonlight that captured me first, or was it the haunting good looks of Gerard Butler in Dracula 2000?  Perhaps it was the luscious Edward from Twilight, or the quintessential grace and charm of Lestat that stole my heart and mind?
