New report: Nuclear won't solve climate change

According to an article on the Scientific American website, a new report has found that nuclear power plants can't be built quickly or safely enough to be a major global solution for climate change. Issued by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the report says that under its current policies and financing the nuclear industry won't be able to build enough new reactors to make a difference in solving global warming in the next 20 years.
