Lovebug Starski may not have been the most famous name in hip-hop, but perhaps more than anyone else, he deserves credit for giving hip-hop its name. The Bronx-born DJ and rapper, who passed away yesterday in Las Vegas due to a heart attack, coined the term with the help of Cowboy of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five (Cowboy died in 1989).
