It’s the same on Amazon UK and I can’t even figure out how to complain to them about it because all the complaint options relate to services and there is no option to complain about the actual website.

I actually had a reader using the Amazon reviews as a way of letting Amazon know that their censorship is hindering sales big time; it's basically the only way of making it public knowledge as far as I know.
A couple of years back it wasn't a huge issue (for readers or for writers) since you could always go to Fictionwise or AllRomance and buy or sell your books there. But now Amazon is so big that they basically own the market - and they do exactly what they want with it.
What their methods tell us is that they want you to only buy books they consider appropriate and non-deviant. And sex between two consenting adult males? Apparently so disgusting and morally corrupt that you can't even know they exist. But hey, at least we know what Amazon thinks of us now.
Well I'm glad you posted this, it's just another thing to add to my long list of issues with Amazon - and also because the release of How to Domesticate a Russian Bear: A Russian Bear III completely missed my radar! I've loved all the RB stories and just finished re-reading A Russian Bear: A Russian Bear I for the upteenth time, it's my ultimate comfort read...anyway, point is that I bought it on SMASHWORDS!

I also managed to find this beauty which is apparently a vintage magazine giving the reader historical insight in hygienic practices in southern California (judging from the hair color) in the late twentieth century. Because naturally it can't be porn since Amazon hasn't (yet) deemed it "adult". But my book is.
