a helpful parenting book is ____________________.

I'm working on the new parenting book right now and I'd love your input!

What would a helpful book do or NOT do?

Is it short and accessible like The Gifts of Imperfection?

Is it longer like a reference book?

Thoughts about the "story to research" ratio?

Are you a fan of hardbacks or paperbacks?

What do you think about "The Gifts of Imperfect Parenting." Being imperfect is my true expertise!

What do you really want to know?

The market is flooded with parenting books. Some are helpful and others stress me out. I want to contribute something meaningful to this conversation so I thought I'd go right to the source!

I'm grateful for your feedback!

Chris It should definitely teach us how to make our kids resilient, open to vulnerability and able to connect. Yes, imperfect parenting! But also teaching our children to value imperfection. How to teach them that they are enough. How to resist the pressure from all around to parent for "success" like parents in our society seem to. Maybe 2 or 3:1 stories to research (and I have a research background, but we can read parenting research anywhere). Definitely SHORT. Practical, useful tips from the beginning, don't make us read the whole book to start using it! So glad you are writing a parenting book!
