Who Says We Can't Time Travel?

We do it all the time! We think back about what just happened hours ago. Seconds ago. Minutes ago. We remember stuff that happened days and weeks and months and years ago. We take little nostalgic time jumps when we see a picture or hear music that remind of us of some past event no matter how long ago.

Food, places, smells, all can bring back those memories and we're not really here, are we? We're back there. Reliving the past. We've moved to that point in time. Maybe physically we haven't jumped. But mentally, we're there.

When we're cogitating about some recent event that's bothered us, or made us feel good, what are we doing? We're back in that past. Rethinking the situation. Asking myriads of questions. Wondering if this or that had been different, would it have changed the course of history. Our history.

I look at this picture and I'm again at Disney World, running around at a frantic pace to see and do everything with my daughter while at the RWA conference. The event had been scheduled for Nashville. But because of flood waters, RWA had to scurry to find a location that would accommodate so many thousands of romance writers all at once.

I was going to my son's wedding the weekend before in Pensacola, so my daughter would be with me. Change of plans. Instead of going to Nashville by myself, I was going to Disney World with my daughter. We had so much fun. She was even able to come to the special From the Heart's meeting where I spoke, and she was able to come to my signings.

So the time there will be forever one of those really special moments. And looking at this picture makes me time jump into the past.

So if you never thought time travel was possible, think again!

We do it all of the time!

Have a super Sunday! It's pouring here, and that's wonderful!!!! It takes me to a time in the past when we always got rain in the fall...but we've never had such a terrible drought as this year, and it looked like we would never get any rain at all.

Off to post before my Internet is out again because of the storms....
