It’s been my tradition that after I release a new book, I choose a holiday tune to create a song that more or less summarizes the story. This year the book is Veiled Existence and the tune I borrowed is Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! I sent it out to my reader group over the holidays and just realized I never posted it on my website, so here it is:
It’s a Curse! It’s a Curse! It’s a Curse!
The pretty girl I met is phony,
And a witch now claims she owns me,
My plight couldn’t be much worse.
It’s a curse, it’s a curse, it’s a curse!
Who knows what nasty web she’s weaving,
But the fumes that I am breathing,
Will probably kill me first.
It’s a curse, it’s a curse, it’s a curse!
When I finally make my escape,
I’m overcome with a sense of alarm.
That if I really leave this place,
My loved ones will surely be harmed.
Seems the price I pay for my rescue,
Is that I’m compelled to kill you,
This spell needs to be reversed.
It’s a curse, its’ a curse, it’s a curse!
