Mid-January Check-In: It's Not Great

Picture You know what they say about the best laid plans, but that didn't stop me from making a bunch at the end of December to make 2018 rock from start to finish. And I was doing well: I was working out 3x a week, took care of my dog and apartment like a boss while my mom had to be away for a week, made a rewriting list for Unmoored , printed out the manuscript, and was ready to go.

And then it all went down the drain because I got sick. I'm not even sure what it is (yes, present tense—I'm still sick as I'm writing this). It may be the flu, or a really bad virus. But I've had it for about a week now and I'm sick of being sick. And the 1 killer migraine I had didn't exactly help, either. But at least that was knocked out in 1 day of sleeping (which I was already doing a lot of).

But this isn't all to say that I've accomplished nothing. If you notice the new subscription box at the bottom of my blog posts, you can see that I am now offering my first book for free to newsletter subscribers. On the back-end, I actually completely switched from Mailchimp to Mailerlite and rewrote my welcome system. Feel free to sign up below!

Looking forward, I'm planning on tackling the Unmoored rewrites, revision, and edits. Stay tuned!
