The Romance Studio – 5 Heart Review of Misguided

I just found out that Teresa T. at The Romance Studio gave Misguided a 5 heart review!  :)

Cassie and her best friend Aly take a week long vacation in the Bahamas where they meet Luke and Jay. Aly almost immediately hooks up with Jay and the two leave Cassie and Luke to get to know each other. Cassie has never had any kind of a fling and is a bit uncomfortable at first. Luke isn't the kind of man who has them either but they have incredible chemistry together. Unfortunately, or fortunately, what happens in the Bahamas does not stay in the Bahamas.

Back in the real world, Cassie is a Sex-Ed guidance counselor in a small town high school. Cassie feels very strongly about her job because she got pregnant at sixteen. That and having her son Kevin obviously changed her life forever. She never thought she would see Luke again but does when he finds condoms in his fifteen year old daughter's purse and he comes to the school to yell at 'Ms. Finnerty'. Both of them are shocked to see each other, as they didn't even tell each other their full names. Poor Luke still treats his daughter Megan as if she's a child (she's a teenager now) and they are much more distant with each other than they used to be.

Ms. Gallagher does an incredible job telling this story. Luke's still so attracted to Cassie and after much dithering they decide to date. I love all the supporting characters, especially their kids. Aly and Jay are in and out of the story and they are pretty awesome too. This is such a fun, sexy, and in parts very dramatic story! There is an incredible amount of love in this story, Cassie and Kevin, Luke and Megan not to mention Luke and Cassie. I had never read Ms. Gallagher's work before, and I am so happy I read this one. I did laugh, cry, hold my breath and eventually ended the story with a huge smile on my face. This is a delightful story and so worth the read!
