The Zodiac Project: Pisces
The pen pauses above the page;
The words flow, the hand hesitates.
It’s the story of the shadow in the sun,
A hero born, a villain spawned.
A good soul humbled from the power within;
the evil coils, let the battle begin.
There’s someone out there, this I swear;
A monster lurking, looking darkly in.
Sending shivers running down my spine;
All you women run, all you children hide.
No one knows how this story goes,
Death will smile on for whom the bell will toll.
I need to run, find a way to save
Me the martyr, me the saint.
Giving up hollow, cold, empty faith,
I just want to be free from the hero’s fate.
Grip of the dagger, blood of the blade;
Wounds open wide, guts on display.
The hero has fallen, the villain remains,
Walking slowly on to the imminent fate.
The beast-man stumbles, the reaper he has graced.
There’s no dying scream, just death upon his face.
I need to run, find a way to save
Me the martyr, me the saint.
Giving up hollow, cold, empty faith,
I just want to be free from the hero’s fate.
