It's a protest, part of the Occupy Wall Street movement, calling for change -- basically saying that there's too much emphasis on the rights of corporations and millionaires and that the vast majority of the country is being ignored. Its a very unorganized general protest, but basically liberal and calling for millionaires and large corporations to pay more to stop the cutbacks of benefits and layoffs.
Sounds like there should be an Occupy the US group as well. Or Congress or the White House or well, I could go on and on. Sounds like a really good idea to me.
Thanks - there are a lot of these movements springing up. I just saw a Facebook posting about Occupy Memphis that pointed out that since the Walmart CEO manages to survive on $16,000/hour, he couldn't be expected to pay his employees more than $8.75/hr.
