Do you ever feel like you just have to take life one day at a time?

I've had a rough go of it these last few weeks. The biggest fear of any author is writer's block. I don't think I've ever experienced that exact thing but I have to tell you that Dragons 8 has gotten me close.

Somewhere, I lost the idea of the story. I was lost, it was scary. I'd sit down and work on it and the time would tick by but the words weren't piling up. I've never had this happen before and I was starting to feel a bit of despair about it.

I was supposed to have had this book to the editor three weeks ago. That's how far behind it is right now. Today, at long last, I got my mojo back. The story is back on track at last and I topped the halfway point.

I don't know what happened but when I started working today the story just flowed out. I found my love for these two characters again and they came to life for me.

So that's the title of today. One day at a time. It's how I pushed past the block. I sat here every day writing and putting the words there even if they weren't coming as fast and furious as they normally do.

I did work on other books too, Shifter Queen will be out this week. I just got it back from the editor and I love this story that Nadia and I have created together. She's an awesome author and friend.

You can expect more news on Dragons 8 to be announced soon and ideally in another week or so I'll have a sneak peek ready for the Muses.

Speaking of Muses, have you joined me on FB yet? I'd love to interact with you there! Here's the link for you.

Miranda Martin's Muses

My 6 year old just ran through shaking her naked bum, her favorite game to play letting me know she's getting a bath from one of her sisters.

Do your little ones have any quirks like this? Or did they? I'd love to hear your stories.

xoxo,
Miranda
