It's Release Day for VENTURE UNTAMED!
The big day is finally here—official release day for the first of the Venture books, Venture Untamed!
When I discovered late Sunday night that my book had gone live on Amazon, my family bought me a chocolate McCafe milkshake to celebrate. It was incredibly chocolately and surprisingly delicious, though I'm still trying to get the kids to fess up about who took the cherry off the top. By the time the shake got to me, there was nothing but a tell-tale maraschino-red streak in the whipped cream.
I'm thinking official release day calls for celebration, round two. And this time I get the cherry, or somebody is going to pay.
Venture would probably celebrate with an extra workout, but then he's not old and soft like me. Maybe that's why no one would dare steal the toppings off his milkshake. Then again, Venture would've just given the kids the cherry, because deep down, he's nice like that.
What do you guys think? How should I celebrate Venture Untamed's birthday?

Venture Delving is a bonded servant, a member of the lowest class in the world. Already fatherless, when he loses his mother, he veers from energetic to out of control. But when Venture's rage saves the life of Jade, his best friend and his master's daughter, Venture finds himself in the last place he ever expected—a center renowned for training young boys to be professional fighters. In spite of his status, Venture has always secretly dreamed of becoming a prize fighter, and now, though a powerful, hidden reason keeps him from voicing his dream, let alone pursuing it, Venture knows he has what it takes to be best prize fighter in the world, to become Champion of All Richland.
When Venture realizes he's fallen in love with Jade, he knows that the only way he'll ever have her, the only way he'll ever be free to live the life he's meant to live, is to defy convention, common sense, the trust of those he cares about most—and sometimes the law—and become Champion of All Richland. Venture must battle not only rival fighters, but the ghosts of his past and the members of a privileged warrior class who stand between him and his dream.
