The Measure Of John Sheehan
The measure of a man from the eyes of others -vs- the measure of a man found in Christ is the man I am!
I have failed in the eyes of man.
I have failed in the eyes of religion.
I have failed as a husband.
I have failed as a friend.
I have failed as a pastor.
I have failed in love.
I have failed - but God still sings over me! Man will call you a failure, man will say you have wasted your life, what are you doing with your life they will say!
But the measure of a man is the measure of his heart, the measure of a man is the measure of his love!
John M Sheehan
Did you love is what God will ask of you; not about your ministry, not about your knowledge in Me will God ask of you but did you love is what He will ask of you!
A man's measurement is not about his success, bank account, or what he can or can not do. The measure of a man is the measure of his love; his learning to love.
God, I've failed, according to my mother, according to my father, according to my wife, according to my children: God I've failed!
Listen, my beloved, God does speak to your heart, when it all is done when it is all said, and the race does end it all comes down to love!
Did you learn to love is all I will ask of you!
All the comparison means nothing to me says the Lord, man up the world will say, No, God does say the measure I will measure is the love that you have learned!
Love is my measure, though I may suffer through love, though I may be mocked in my love, though much evil may be said about me; love will be my measure when I stand before the King of Kings allowing me to say in the end:
Yes, Lord, I have learned to love, yes Lord I loved with no condition, and I loved even being unloved according to 1st Corinthians 13.
Yes, Lord, I learned to love! Let my heart testify Lord for you will judge my heart seeing the love I've learned in my seasons of time!
I have failed in the eyes of man.
