I have a problem…

They say that the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem…

I am addicted to paper – that’s right…paper. Apparently I love it in books, magazines, notepads and even receipts. I keep everything!

I blame my parents for instilling in me a love for the written word and thinking that everything committed to paper is valuable and must be kept, hoarded, and squirreled away to be read again.

If something is to be learned – buy a book! Or in my case, buy eight or nine.

ENOUGH!

2018 has begun along with “The Purge” (not the horror movie either). I went through binders of saved articles (am I really going to flip through a notebook to find an article on snake bites if Kobi’s nose is swelling?), notes taken in classes with their meaning long forgotten, along with pictures on how to do a proper head stand (really?).

If I need to reference something, I can find it much quicker on the internet than looking through binder upon binder of non-organized papers…my books I still cherish, I may never open them again (as there is always something around here to read for the first time) but I know they are there – with all of the perfectly written wisdom!
