Wakefield is the last name I chose.

Pulled it from a song without overthinking it.

Beasley was the last name I was born with.

My friend Leigh loves etymology and looked it up.

Beasley means bent grass in a clearing.

The name was first found in Warwickshire

30 minutes down the road from Leigh’s house.

The first official record of the name appears to be of one Gracia Beesley on a church document stating that she married William Wackfield.
