A happy update for my fellow Gunther lovers: despite being diagnosed with terminal cancer in the wake of his emergency surgery in June, he has surpassed the oncologist’s most optimistic prognosis of six months, passing that marker two weeks ago. Not only that, but the old guy is still enjoying a good quality of life and seems to be turning back into a puppy more every day. We are cherishing every day with him… Here are some photos from our hike this afternoon.
