It Is Time to Wake Up!

Devotional for Friday ~ 29-31 December 2017 / 12-13 Tevet 5778

I believe that the reason why the “Light” of Christ is absent in so many of the churches of our day is due to ineffectual apathetic prayers, or lack thereof, of sinful men who claim to be right with God. I wonder how many Christians earnestly and faithfully pray to the God of Heaven for themselves and their loved ones, especially for their children for those who have them? Moreover, I wonder how many even bother to read and study the Holy Scriptures so they can truly know God, and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth as He so deserves and desires of His people?

I am greatly concerned about God’s people and the state of the churches, and the following letter I wrote to an Editor of a local newspaper over twenty-three years ago will illuminate some of my concerns. I truly hope these words will sound a major warning and cause those who hear them, and those who have a genuine love for God, to examine themselves, in the Light of God's word, and seriously think about their relationship with Almighty God and His beloved Son, the LORD Jesus Christ.

“To The Editor…,

I just couldn’t stop thinking about the man who had lost his three children because he had fallen asleep. I can almost imagine the horror he must have experienced when he found their lifeless little bodies in that old refrigerator. It must have been his darkest hour!

My heart goes out to him and his family, and I just pray that they will turn all this over to the Lord, if they haven’t already. The unbearable shame, guilt, anger, and resentment will just destroy their lives completely if it’s allowed to continue.

It may be extremely hard to understand how God could even possibly use this tragic situation and turn it around [“for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose” Romans 8:28], but He can and He will if we would only look at it from His perspective. [God does not turn bad into good, but He uses all things, even mistakes and heartaches, to bring about good for those who love Him.]

As I read the front-page article...describing what happened, the Lord brought to my attention that the condition of most fathers in this country is that they are spiritually asleep, thus they are unable to see the imminent danger their children are in.

If they don’t wake up while there’s still time they will ultimately be responsible for the eternal death of their families; and if they find themselves and their children in outer Darkness separated from God forever, there will be no turning back then.

My hope and prayer is that the pain and sorrow of this family can be eased if they know their situation has sounded an alarm to all of us for the need to humbly submit our whole heart, soul, and body to Almighty God and His Word before it’s too late.

It’s so important for the men and fathers of this country to stand up and be the spiritual leaders that God has ordained that they must be! Should they refuse, they will be held accountable for that decision! And in so doing they will ultimately help contribute to the demise of the United States of America as a Nation that stands for Truth, Justice, and Freedom for All.

It is interesting to note that even though Eve is the one who initially ate from “the tree of knowledge of good and evil,” the tree God had forbidden Adam to eat from, God ultimately held the man accountable for their disobedience, because it was his responsibility to make sure God's commands were obeyed . Thus, sin and death came through the man, and not the woman.

Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

Romans 5:17 “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)”

1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

God says in His word that only those who are truly born again of His Spirit, will enter into the Kingdom of heaven. “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 11:3) Please prayerfully consider these words of the LORD Jesus Christ.

John 3:5 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”

You cannot love the world and its ways, and love God with all your heart, at the same time. You cannot mix the holy with the profane and be acceptable with Almighty God. Light and darkness do NOT go together! Please consider this foundational passage from one of Jesus’ closest disciples.

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

John 1:3 All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.

John 1:4 In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

John 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.

John 1:11 He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:

John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

God's truth is really all that matters. If you are believing lies, and you love your sin and unrighteousness more than you love God, that is a very dangerous place to be. If you chose to go the way of sin, God will let you go, but that is not His desire for you.

In fact, God would love for all men to be saved, that’s why He sent His dearly beloved Son to be the Saviour of the world. But the very sad reality is that not all men will be saved from eternal death. Moreover, contrary to popular belief, there will be more souls that go to Hell, than those who go to Heaven!

Matthew 7:13 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Matthew 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Matthew 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Matthew 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.”

Evil men and seducers are proliferating in these final days, just as God has warned us about in the Holy Scriptures. But if you are one who believes that “all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation” (2 Peter 3:4), then I say to you, IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP! Your life and the lives of those you are able to influence "for good or evil" are at stake! And realize, that only through Christ working in us can we truly be the godly, holy people that God requires. “Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.” (Haggai 1:7) [I encourage you to read the whole book of Haggai. It only has two chapters, and it is extremely relevant for God's people today.]

Another Scripture passage that I hope you will prayerfully consider:

Matthew 13:24 "Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

Matthew 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

Matthew 13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

Matthew 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

Matthew 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into My barn."

God is going to gather Satan and his evil workers together and cast them into the lake of fire one day, along with all those who follow him unto death. As I have told my children all their lives, "There will not be another rebellion in heaven! Only those who delight completely in the word of God, and are born again by God's Spirit, will have access to the tree of life and the Holy City."

Satan has been very busy these days because he knows his time is short! He has led men to be lenient toward sin, but the longer a man walks in sin, the darker it gets. And only Christ can set us free from the bondage of sin and Satan! And remember, God WILL forgive any sin, no matter how wicked, except blaspheme against His Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

Matthew 12:31 "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."

May all Real Christians be ready for that glorious day! God be with you and your loved ones in the New Year of 2018, and beyond! And God's love, grace, and mercy be with you as you walk with Him in the True Light!
