Overcoming Loss

Good morning. Welcome to Tuesday Book Blogs. Today, we’re talking about overcoming loss.
In At Home Christmas, Cat has a lot of issues that she manages to handle without anyone realizing how truly lonely she is. A chance meeting on a temporary duty base changes everything for her and she soon finds herself wondering if she can possibly entertain a long term, in addition to a long distance, relationship.

Unfortunately, that is not to be and she’s left grieving for a relationship she feels brought her closer to this guy along with wondering if she truly knew him. Her loss becomes the reader’s, as they can relate to her reaction of wanting to curl up and waste away.
We’ve all suffered losses in our lifetime. They are a given that we will have breakups, deaths, even a simple move to another state or country can change our lives significantly. It’s how we handle those losses that define us as people.
Some will dive into a new relationship without realizing they’re not ready for one. Others will wall up their emotional heart and shut everyone out of their lives, so they don’t hurt like that again. Then there are those who can move onward at a certain point, who will find there is someone in the world they can share their deepest secrets with, and trust with their emotions.
About K.C. Sprayberry
Born and raised in Southern California’s Los Angeles basin, K.C. Sprayberry spent years traveling the United States and Europe while in the Air Force before settling in northwest Georgia. A new empty nester with her husband of more than twenty years, she spends her days figuring out new ways to torment her characters and coming up with innovative tales from the South and beyond.
She’s a multi-genre author who comes up with ideas from the strangest sources. Those who know her best will tell you that nothing is safe or sacred when she is observing real life. In fact, she considers any situation she witnesses as fair game when plotting a new story.
