The challenge of the chase

I’m not going to pretend to know all about the challenges of life. I do know however, what it takes to be persevering in one’s goal despite the odds. It is on that subject that I wish to elaborate. Why? Because in my opinion, being persevering in whatever you do brings results.

In order to be persevering, you must first examine your goal. Hold it up so you can see it for what it is. Do you have what it takes to go after that goal? Remember, it is not going to land on your lap. You have to be ready to do what is necessary so that you arrive in that spot. Having a free and simple child-like attitude helps. Having sound belief in your God will speed up your action because with God at your side you get inner confidence to stay in and fight while everyone is dropping their hats and running. And then comes the most important ingredient… Faith in yourself.

Without faith in yourself you can’t get anywhere. Oh yes, you can get on with life, doing an odd job here and there, crawling through, afraid of your own shadow. But if you want BIG results you must think and plan BIG. It doesn’t matter if it sounds silly to you. It is much better than thinking in the negative.

Converse in a childlike way with your Creator… tell Him that you want to be different. You want to be free from your fears. You want to go places and do things. You want to be someone.

And believe me, when you go in with your whole heart and speak in a frank and easy way, you release the kind of energy you require to meet your situation. You go about your project in a way that makes even ordinary things seem extraordinary. You develop inner strength, and you behave in a way that leads you to reach your goal.

I’d like to conclude with Shiv Khera’s master statement: Winners don’t do different things…they do things differently.
