Diego Sneak Peeks
Diego, Boys of Glensville Book one will be released on Jan. 3rd! To hold you over here is a sneak peek!
“Hi, Diego.”
“Hi, Officer Hyde,” I tried to keep the flirty tone out of my voice, I really did, but I couldn't help it. “How are you?”
“Good,” he smiled. “You?”
“Better,” I replied. I noticed someone had stuck one of those tacky pins to his shirt that announced to everyone that it was your birthday. “It's your birthday?”
Carter looked down at his massive chest where the pin was. He chuckled. “Yeah. Twenty-nine.”
“Mine too,” I replied with a smirk. Small world, huh? “Twenty.”
Carter nodded, and began to make his way up to the register. I trailed behind him because what the hell else was I going to do.
“I'm sorry for the way I came on to you earlier,” I said, and I meant it. I really didn't mean to embarrass him.
Carter turned to face me, and I could see the blond chest hair creeping out from the top of his shirt. I hadn't noticed before but there were freckles dotting the bridge of his nose.
“It's okay.”
“I can't help it,” I say. “I'm persistent. When I see something I want I go after it.”
Carter cleared his throat. His eyes went wide again like what I said surprised him. “And you want me?”
Pattie was listening to our conversation. I could see him over Carter's shoulder, leaning over and looking down the aisle to where we were standing. He was such a sucker for gossip, like those little old ladies who sat around Burtachelli's and told each other stories about what they had heard that day.
“Very much so.”
Don't forget to pick up your copy of Diego on Jan. 3rd!!
Until then Happy Reading!
