Delayed Dire...

All right. No help for it, Dire:Hell's not going to make Christmas.

I got into a serious slowdown, and found it harder and harder to get my wordcount to where it needed to be for that.

Then my muse told me to take a break, and work on a side project. And my gods, the words just flowed... I'm about done with it, all in the span of two and a half weeks!

I'm back on Dire:Hell now. I won't make Christmas, but there's an off chance I can make the end of the year. But... well, I'm going to need to polish it. And my beta readers and editors will need to have at it, and they have lives too.

So no promises, at this point. But on the plus side, I should have two things for you, come January!

Michael Pierno It bugs me so much that you didn't title this as Dire:Delayed.

Andrew Seiple That is a missed opportunity, isn't it? Damn!

Christopher The pace at which some of you indy authors produce your works is astonishing. Considering how long it always took, prior to the development of modern independent publishing, for big name authors and publishers to produce anything I wanted...I think we can afford to give you plenty of time to do whatever you need to do, in order to keep moving.

You are, honestly, one of the better indy authors out there, especially in the Supers genre. Take care of yourself, and use whatever process works. We'll still be here. :)
