Marty’s photo of the day #2385: This is one of those shots that is technically imperfect, but gets points for effort. I was on the island of Borneo and had spent the better part of an hour gaining the confidence of a troop of maroon langurs (also called leaf monkeys). When the langurs were on the move, they’d make a loud scream as they took to the air. Consequently, I decided to position myself flat on my back, ahead of the troop, in hopes of getting a photo of one jumping over me. There was just one problem: land leaches, called tiger leeches, ruled the rainforest floor. So this photo may be a bit blurry, but know that as I took it, I was multitasking and feeding the local leeches at the same time.
