December Daily® 2017 | Day 02
Welcome to
December Daily® 2017 | Day 02.
Today I decided to tell a short story about how December has started quietly around her (kids have been with their other parents for the last few days). I knew I probably wanted to build something on top of the large tag I used in Day 01 so I ended up creating a flip-open card that includes a photo of one of our cats and the "weekend stories" journal card from the Main Kit. More details below.
Remember, this project doesn't have to take a ton of time and you don't have to try to include everything you did on any particular day. Pick one story - it might be long or it might be short - and tell it.
Here's a look at my Day 02:
I paired a chipboard circle from the December Daily® Chipboard Bundle with one of the cork numbers from the Main Kit on the outside of the card.
As a reminder, here is what I had in my album for my
Foundation Page:
I'm loving the option to work outside the page protectors and using what is "there" for that day.
I used some of the printed masking tape to create the "flip-open" part of the card. I added strips of tape to both the outside and the inside (cutting down the star masking tape to just two strips of stars) of the cards to keep them together.
Right behind the chipboard piece I added a "love" perforated phrase to the adhesive portion that was showing through to the other side. I added my story directly to the journaling card and called it good.
