It started innocently. Jimmy sought neither fame nor recognition; he just wanted enough credit to elevate his D to a respectable C.

Nothing too complicated. No chemistry experiments, or monitoring the health of the atmosphere or measuring the interplanetary magnetic field. He kept it simple with a do-it-yourself DNA extraction kit. No muss, no fuss.

He shut off the lights. Jimmy’s eyes glowed a neon purple thanks to the jellyfish genes. Before he could explain, cries of “Demon” and “Summon a priest” rang through the classroom.

Displaying his tentacles wasn’t such a good idea either.
