A plea for votes
I entered a short story called 'One Bird, two stones' into a competion with All Romance e-books and have got through to the last 32. The big prize is $1000 - that would be lovely, but I'd just like to get beyond the first couple of rounds. It's a head to head so I need votes to beat one other person in the first round. If I get through to next week, I'll need the same again. And so on.
I'd be really grateful if you'd consider voting for me if you think my story is better than the one I'm up against. You have one week to vote in the first round. The link is

I'm afraid you have to register on the site to be able to vote but its not onerous. They don't want your blood!
Thanks so much for considering helping me! I need all the publicity I can get. It's hard to stand out when there are so many authors out there.

Okay - I voted. What a trip. The link didn't work - so did the google seaarch. Had to register on the website, but then it didn't return me to the contest page. So... google again. Crazy! But, I read the story - very cute, and did read the competition [not even in the same league], and voted. Good luck. You might want to remind me when to vote in the next round. This link worked. I really hope people take you up on the vote because the story was really cute. I could actually see it as more than a short. Good luck. I'll try to remember to vote after the sixth on the next round. I didn't read any of the others [not a big short story fan typically] - only the one you were matched with. It started with much too much backstory. Even I know you need to suck them in first - especially in a short. You do this very well. Let me know how this goes.
