Yes hello I am always late to the party
So, this is for the lovely kata-chthonia aka Rachel Alexander who wrote the amazing Receiver of Many, one of the most well-thought out and exciting adaptations of the Hades/Persephone myth I have ever read. It has great world building, convincing emotions, is romantic but does not erase the issues in the myth and avoids stereotypes without erasing much-loved clichés. Also, great smut. She puzzles together pieces of a mythological world and creates a new myth that is grand, moving, and more powerful than your regular fairy-taleish adaptation.
My watercolour..thing is based on the first few chapters of the book, because I cannot put so much awesome into a painting in so little time. It’s a miracle I even reached the deadline. I have a Greek tragedy to read and several articles too. Oops.
My design of Persephone is based on @asphodelon’s great art for the novel, whom Tumblr refuses to tag. Ugh. (my own Persephone looks much different, haha)
