Did you ever play Monopoly as a child? My cousins, sibs, and I would stage marathon Monopoly sessions. Everyone argued over who would get the thimble. Helen Ah, I remember those days. I always wanted the dog or the top hat. And I also seemed to always buy the yellow and light blue ones. Plus the railroads and the utilities; if you got those in multiples, you could charge more rent.
My parents would go to card parties on weekend afternoons that would last into the evening, and everyone would bring their kids, so we'd have marathon Monopoly sessions while the parents played. It was great, but like you say, days long past.
