Review: Dark Bargain

Dark Bargain Dark Bargain by Brett Hicks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In this second book of Kayla McQueen series, Kayla has finally became a cop. Her fellow cops are not so friendly and her ability to track murderers only increase the jealousy.

The killer is back. Innocent witches are being killed and their souls are drained using an ancient magic which was forbidden. The problem is the killer is among of them.

It is one thing to collect the souls and another to awake something that was meant to stay buried. When the lives of the dear ones are threatened, Kayla is forced to make a bargain. A bargain which will cost her more than her what she bargained for.

Will Kayla be able to find the killer before they finally finish what they had started? What will happen between Jon and Kayla? Will she fight against the attraction she feels towards him or act on it?

Read this book to find out if the young detective hell bent on his mission to win Kayla's heart was able to succeed.
