Mermish Madness
Or, conflicting reading issues followed by cover love.
As someone writing about mermaids, I'm staying away from the slew of mermaid books being released. It's nothing personal. I LOVE that mermaids are getting their turn in the dim light of the Vampire/werewolf craze. It's just that as I'm writing, I don't want to take the change of the influence. What if I read something and am all, "OMG, I did the same thing!"
I don't expect anyone to understand that. But maybe if I put it this way-- In THE GOOD FAIRIES OF NEW YORK by Martin Millar there is an introduction by Neil Gaiman himself.
That being stated, I am so in love with this cover. It is the follow up to LOST VOICES by Sarah Porter.
Look at the jellyfish! Look at her tail! <3
PS: Don't forget! Mermaid Decal Giveaway ends Friday Sept 20th!

He writes, "Authors are odd animals...For me, probably for any author, the biggest worry is that someone will writer the book that I'm writing, and write it first."Thank you Neil! So while I'm purchasing all these books, I keep putting them off.
