First of all – let’s just get this out of the way. TYLER OAKLEY IS IN THE HOUSE! The Youtube & podcast star joins us at Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights to talk to the man who makes it all come together – John Murdy!

Join Tyler Oakley as he dives into the mind of the man who makes Halloween Horror Nights one of the biggest Halloween events in the world.

 

 

The creative director for all Universal Parks & Resorts has a huge responsibility on his plate yet he continually builds a world in October that experts estimate draws an additional attendance (on top of the park’s usual numbers) of over half a million guests.

Trust me – the park is constantly crowded this time of year, but it’s definitely worth it. And that all starts with John.

Time after time, John repeatedly amazes spectators with the mazes he creates with his team, using huge franchises like The Walking Dead, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Chucky & more. In fact, he’s been working on entertaining folks with horror attractions since he was a child.

Ultimately, John enjoys trying to beat himself every single year, and it’s hard to argue that he doesn’t do so. John even goes out, dresses up, and scares guests in the mazes himself.

Tyler digs deep into how John really got started turning horror movies and entertainment into attractions. How did he become the creative director for all of the rides & theme parks of one of Hollywood’s biggest studios? What are his favorite mazes and rides that he’s worked on to date?
