WORLD SERIES TRIVIA!
Welcome to my fun blog honoring the World Series. Many unusual things have happened in the World Series throughout the years. There were many firsts and these events give rise to many stupid sports statistics. Let's take a look at these things, see how many you can guess. These trivia questions will be changed on every day of the series.
Also, you will be treated to quotes from my baseball romance books. See if you can place some of the quotes from my books to the correct character. I guarantee you'll get them all right, and maybe have a good laugh, too.
Question #1
Who played in the first World Series? What year was that?
Question #2
The present day World Series is a best-of-seven series. But there were four years when the World Series was a best-of-nine series. Can you name any or all of those years?
Question from my book
Who are the two men speaking in this conversation?
“She has other skills.” Speaker #1 snickered, his eyes glowing.“Yeah, but even that gets boring, when it’s all there is.”“You’re bragging! Bore me, baby. Bore my balls off!”“Your problem is that you have no finesse. You’re too blunt. Right out there. Trying to get the chick in bed in the first thirty seconds.”“Okay, I’ll try to wait two or three minutes. Think that’d help?”“Asshole.” Speaker #2 smirked. “Woman are people too, you know. They have other parts, like brains.”“Yeah? Really? I never noticed. Can’t get past the tits.”“You’re hopeless.”“So you say.”“Don’t you ever want to talk to a woman?”“There are much better things she can do with her mouth.”“You’re a sexist pig, know that?”Speaker #1 grinned. “Yeah. And the babes love it.”“Really? Is that why you’re at Freddie’s by yourself on a Saturday night?”“I’m between chicks, that’s all.”
“You’ll be between chicks for the next twenty years if you don’t change your routine.”
Who are the two speakers in this conversation? Are they:
a) Matt Jackson, Catcher and Dan Alexander, Pitcher?
b) Mickey Mouse and Goofy?
c) Bud Abbott and Lou Costello?
