“Let your past make you better, not bitter.”

Sometimes, we allow people to make us feel like we are not good enough, like our past failures define who we are.  If you let them convince you of this, it could hold you back from being the genuine, complete person you can be.  We all make mistakes, even those who think they never make a mistake.

Put your heart and soul into forgiving yourself for past mistakes.  You do not need the forgiveness of others to take back control.  There are those who lack the ability to forgive.  It is usually those with narcissistic personalities who refuse to acknowledge their own failures and prefer to bully you into never forgetting your own.  Grow from this.  Become an even better person from it.

What is important is how you see yourself.  Once you embrace your true self, realize and accept that you are only human and give yourself credit for your many great qualities, you may see your bitterness dissolve.  You likely did the best you could with what you knew at the time.  And you likely have grown into a better person because of your past.

Rally around the people who love you for who you are, in spite of any mistakes.  Rally around those who see your goodness, who inspire you.  Give your silence to those who refuse to see your worth.
