Michael Kenan  Baldwin His explanation seems contrived to me; the key to 'the cup' is by picking up its Old Testament connotations.

Evan Minton It's more of an inference of the facts surrounding that verse, such as the hematidrosis, and the angel ministering to him (using a Greek term used of doctors administering medical aid to patients), for examples. Moreover, the fact that there are too many problems with making "This cup" about the crucifixion prompts one to look at other options.
